Sea Scout Tree Lot Q and A

Q. When is the tree lot going to be open this year?

A. We open Friday, November 24th, and will be open until sold out (historically around December 12th) So come early!

Q. What forms of payment do you take?

A. We accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks.

Q. What types of trees do you carry?

A. We have Noble, Douglas, Nordmann, and Grand Firs. All trees range in size from 3' to 12'. We also carry table top sized silver tip trees, wreaths, and garland.
All trees are priced by size and variety and each tree tagged individually

Q. Do you sell tree stands?

A. Yes! Additionally, we offer an exchange program on our stands. You only need to purchase the stand once, bring it back the next year and take home a tree already in a stand.
The price of the stand is not included in the tree price

Q. Will you be offering curbside service?

A. We have always been of the opinion that every tree is a snowflake and no two are alike. For that reason, we don't offer an option to buy a tree sight unseen. However, we will continue to be full service and our volunteers will be available to help you pick out the perfect tree, get it to your car, secured, and on your way home!

Q. Do you deliver?

A. Yes, we will deliver your tree and set it up in your home, for an additional fee. We do not deliver trees sight unseen, so please come on by the lot to pick out your perfect tree and set up a delivery date and time. Prices for delivery vary by size of tree and location. We deliver all day on the weekends and between 6:00PM and 8:00PM on the weekends

Q. How should I care for my tree?

A. Our trees are given a fresh cut on the lot and then stood in water. Once a tree finds a home, it should be kept in a stand with a full bucket of water and away from any heat registers or vents.
The tree will "drink" for a few days and the water bucket should be kept full. After a couple days, the tree will stop drinking. A tree drinks from its bark and it is not recommended to remove bark from the trunk of the tree.

Q. Are there restrooms available to the public?

A. Unfortunately, no. There may be restrooms available at Mitchell Park or the Mitchell Park Library, however, we cannot guarantee their availability as they are city-run facilities.
